Fun, friendship and paddling - exercise has never been so much fun! Ideal for any ages 12 +
If you want to find new ways of keeping fit and making friends, come and join our Royal family.
For the winter, we are moving to Ride Leisure at Wyboston for our training sessions. If you are interested in seeing what we are all about, come see us and talk to us on a Sunday morning from 9am. There's covered seating and food and drink available so that you can see what we do in comfort
Although the evenings are too short in the Winter for mid-week training on the water, we do a mid week strength training session on Tuesday evenings at Brampton Memorial Centre at 6.45pm. This helps us build on our strength and fitness over the winter. Why don't you come along and try a session with us?
We are Cambridgeshire's dragon boat club aka 'The Royals'. Based in Eynesbury, St. Neots we love to meet new people and extend our paddling family.
Whilst we aim to be the very best that we can, our training sessions are a mixture of fun and physical conditioning. There is nothing like exercising with a group of friends and being part of a close knit team to motivate and encourage you. We aim to train 3 times a week, on Tuesday evenings, Thursday evenings and Sunday mornings.
Racing is a big part of what we are all about and each year, we take part in national races around the country organised by our sporting body, the British Dragonboat Association (BDA). This is a fantastic opportunity to meet lots of like minded clubs and paddlers in the wider dragon boat community.... not to mention bring home some bling!
A huge part of the dragon boating culture is having fun with your friends and teammates. We love being out paddling on the river and our coaches find many inventive ways to keep us motivated! We also love to socialise with organised quiz nights, summer BBQs and Christmas parties. Dragon Boating by its nature is a very sociable sport!
