The Cambridgeshire Royals Dragon Boat Club was formed on 21 April 2014 and are based in Eynesbury, St Neots, Cambridgeshire.  After their first racing season in 2015, the team won promotion to the British Dragon Boat Association (BDA) Premier league. In the 2016 season the Royals cemented there position as the top East Anglian team by finishing fourth in the Premier league.

The “Royals” (as we are locally  known) were formed  with the help of local sponsors.   The members collectively have many years of experience between them and a wealth of knowledge about running a dragon boat club.

Today our club, whose home is at St Neots Marina, is thriving with over 45 paddling members, three teams (a race team, youth team, and a ladies team) and plenty of enthusiastic support from our family and friends.

The club’s Youth Training Sessions are for youngsters between 12 and 18 and are becoming popular in the local and surrounding areas.

The Cambridgeshire Royals Dragon Boat Club is affiliated to the British Dragon Boat Association and we are covered by public liability insurance. Safety is always at our forefront and safety equipment is provided.  The club currently has three fully qualified Level 2 coaches, one Centre Coaches (CL2), three coach level 1’s and six qualified helms.

The club pride themselves on being family friendly, and we actively encourage this with regular social events.  We have strong social links with Eynesbury Outdoor Bowling Club, of which a large majority of our members have joined, and take part in regular combined social activities.
